Kathy Walter

Kathy Schwartz Walter was born July 19, 1954, to Fred and Nancy (Ray) Schwartz.

She passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2023.

She lived in Kingfisher all her life, where she met and married Mike Walter.

Two sons were born to this union, Michael Walter and Matthew Walter.

Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Kathy worked various jobs throughout her life and two of her favorites places to work were the Kingfisher Day Care and the Center of Family Love.

She loved working with children and the group of people who she affectionately dubbed “the guys” at the center.

No matter where she worked, she made lifelong friends.

Kathy is survived by her sons, Michael (Dawn) and Matthew (Suzanne), all of Kingfisher; siblings Fred Schwartz of Arlington, Texas, Jim Schwartz of Kingfi sher, Lisa Harris (Brad) of Kingfisher and Thomas Schwartz of Collinsville; her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.

Kathy will always be remembered for her generous, loving, nature, and for being an advocate for those less fortunate.

She is fondly remembered and will be deeply missed.
