Jolene B. Rogers, 77, Hennessey, died Monday, March 15, 2021, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.
The funeral service was Friday, March 19, at First Baptist Church of Hennessey and officiated by Pastor Aaron Summers.
Burial followed at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Jolene was born in El Paso, Texas, on May 1, 1943, to Sam and Eunice Bird Borsberry.
Jolene earned a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and a master’s degree in religious education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Jolene married Dr. Don Rogers in El Paso on Aug. 12, 1967.
She was a member of Billings Baptist Church.
Jolene was a 4-H leader and was very active in various community organizations.
She is survived by her husband of the home; one daughter, Dulcie Summers and husband Aaron of Ft. Worth, Texas; two sons, Joel Rogers and wife Darla of Glenpool, Justin Rogers and wife Shawna of Medina, Texas; six grandchildren; and one brother, Bert Borsberry and wife Lisa of California.
Jolene was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Janell Borsberry.
