John Yost
John Louis Yost, 50, of Loyal, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 5, 2022, after a courageous battle with congestive heart failure.
John was born Nov. 18, 1971, to Rebecca Sue (Pruett) Yost and Louis Ray Yost in Kingfisher.
He had a creative mind and was always thinking outside of the box.
When he wasn’t contemplating some new invention, John could be found spending time in the garden both as a kid and later as an adult.
He enjoyed spending time with family exploring places like museums, Celebration Station, the Omniplex, zoo and Roman Nose State Park.
Later, he especially enjoyed camping with his wife Kimberly and son Lester.
His curiosity and eagerness to learn new things led him to spend time exploring his family genealogy and he loved sharing his findings with his family.
He enjoyed passing time by playing video games.
John served in the Army National Guard before going to work for CMI in Oklahoma City.
Afterward, he became a cross-country truck driver for Werner Enterprises.
He later worked for Biggs Backhoe Service before returning to truck driving in Kingfisher for LuGreg Trucking.
One thing that was always said of John by all of his employers was that he was a hard worker, dedicated and passionate, always giving 110 percent.
