Jeanette Bollman
Jeanette Theresa Vogt Bollman died peacefully on April 19, 2021, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Jeanette and her identical twin sister, Annette, were born to Joseph and Marie Vogt in Okarche on Dec. 1, 1940.
Her life and faith would remain ever tied to that small, farming town that claims Blessed Stanley Rother as one of its sons.
Jeanette and Annette were fun loving and mischievous as children.
They delighted in playing “switcheroo” on unsuspecting individuals – including dates.
They were steadfast members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and integral members of the music ministry.
Indeed, Jeanette would retain a love for church music her entire life, singing for many years in the Cathedral Choir at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cathedral.
Jeanette earned an education degree from the University of Oklahoma and three master’s degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma.
She especially enjoyed her work with children with learning disabilities, for which she won numerous awards and recognitions.
In later years, she loved nature, little animals and beautiful sunsets.
She married Jesse Verle Bollman on Feb. 1, 1958.
Together, they had four sons and six grandchildren.
Jeanette is survived by son Jimmy Dale Bollman and wife Amy and daughter Jaimie; son Stephen Joseph Bollman and wife Shelly and daughters Anne Marie and Mary Rose; son Christopher Lee Bollman and his wife Pam and son Nathan and daughter Sarah; grandson Matthew Bollman; and sister Annette Gravitt.
She was predeceased by her husband; parents; son, Michael Keith Bollman; and her beloved “surrogate mothers” Francis Hill, Ethel Hill and Marie Lawrenz.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, April 22, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Okarche.
