Greg Shafer

The funeral for Greg Shafer, 61, was Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Dover Christian Church and officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile.

Greg was born in Enid on July 8, 1960, to James L. and Marye L. Osborn Shafer and died Friday, Feb. 11, 2022.

He was a member of Dover Christian Church. He worked at Enid Water Department, Ranger Oilfield Service and LaPorte Pharmacy.

Greg is survived by his lifelong companion Brenda Rutledge of the home; one daughter Heather Tyler and husband Anthony; two brothers, Scott Shafer of Enid and Doug Shafer of Hennessey; one sister, Kerry Fuksa and husband James of Hennessey; and Brenda’s children, Eben Paxton and wife Charlotte of Hennessey, Tammy Plaster and husband Gerald of Enid; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents.
