Glenda Forbes

Glenda Forbes, 64, Kingfisher, went to be with the love of her life on Sept. 11, 2021.

Glenda married Dennis Forbes in March 1987.

She loved life and her family.

No matter what life threw her way, she faced it with a smile. She was a strong and independent woman.

Glenda was always proud of her husband, kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Glenda worked in the healthcare field until she was no longer able to work.

Glenda was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Forbes, her parents George and Velma Iona Hutchinson and her brothers James Leroy, Bill Wayne and Olen Gale Hutchinson.

She is survived by her children Paul Compton and wife Christen, Brandon Forbes and wife Regina, Brandy Compton and fiancé Jeff Evans, Amanda Wiggins and husband Aaron, Bobby Compton and wife Miranda; sisters Elizabeth Larae Shipman, Sharon Ann Brown, and her twin sister Brenda Jean Wallace, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Glenda’s many grandkids will always cherish her and live on knowing granny loved them all so much: Skyler, Alex, Austin and Emma Compton; Brittany, Anthony, Andrew and Annalee Forbes; Gage Kuehl and wife Emily; Elizabeth Evans; Nick and Parker Wiggins; Kai, Samantha and Chason Compton.

She will also live on in the lives of her great-grandkids Weston and Piper Kuehl.

Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 17, at Kingfisher First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Jennifer Long officiating.

Burial followed under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.
