Elma Jean Best passed away quietly on Saturday, July 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family members.

Elma Jean was born in Okeene on Dec. 17, 1938, to L. Warren and Mary Murray.

She attended and graduated from Putman City Schools.

She married the love of her life, Keith Best, on Jan. 10, 1958, in Oklahoma City.

Elma Jean and Keith lived in several different states and Canada before settling in Crescent and making it their home for over 50 years. Crescent is where they raised their children, farmed and made their home.

Elma Jean was a very caring caregiver to Keith and her children. She worked alongside Keith on the farm while raising their four children.

Anyone who was blessed to know Elma Jean knew she had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She loved doing any kind of crafts, from painting to sewing, crocheting and quilting.

She would always help anyone who needed it and always had a smile.

Elma Jean also had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her much enjoyment.

Elma Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband Keith Best, sister Sharon Clark and great-grandson Knox.

She is survived by her children Janet Rogers, Vicky Allen and husband David, Deanna Dugger and Scott Barnett, and Bryan Best. She also has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and always remembered fondly.
