Elinor “Ellie” Keyser LeDoux, 84, passed away peacefully on Dec. 11, 2024, in Oklahoma City.

She was born Feb. 28, 1940, in Oklahoma City to Inez and Ambrose Keyser. Ellie loved to garden, travel with friends, meet with former classmates and most of all spend time with her family and sisters. She was an advocate for animals and had three pets over the years.

She was a member of the Hoy Trinity Catholic Church, Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and her favorite, the choir. Her faith and importance of family was her daily driving force for life.

Ellie attended John Carroll Grade School and one year at McGuiness Catholic High School in Oklahoma City.

In 1955, the family moved to Okarche, where she attended Holy Trinity High School and graduated in 1958.

From 1958 to 1961, she attended St. Anthony School of Nursing and began her career as a registered nurse. Between the years of 1962 and 1975 she worked at St. Anthony Hospital while attending Oklahoma City University where she graduated in health education.

In 1976 she moved to California and started at Green Hospital of Scripps Clinic, La Jolla.

Later, Ellie worked in a family business that manufactured nutritional supplements.

She returned to Oklahoma and Okarche in 1987 where she worked at Mercy Hospital and was director of nursing at Cimarron Nursing Center in Kingfisher. She retired in 1994.

Ellie is survived by her sisters Kay Halko, Susie Keyser and Joan Keyser.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Pat Vuadens. Ellie is also survived by her eight nieces and nephews and 13 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, Dec. 14, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Okarche with burial following at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
