Dorathea Roberts
The services celebrating and honoring the life of Dorathea Clara Eliza Lorenz Stallard Roberts, 80, of Kingfisher, were Sunday, Dec. 18, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel in Enid.
Pastor Mike Whitehead officiated. Services were under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Dorathea was born Sept. 29, 1942, to Walter John and Gertrude Violet Rott Lorenz in Tulsa and passed from this life Dec. 12, 2022, in Enid.
She was raised and educated in Tulsa, serving as a candy striper, sang in the school choir and was a member of the Latin Club.
She graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1960 and then attended St. John’s Hospital School of Nursing.
Dorathea married Fred William Stallard on Nov. 22, 1963, in Tulsa, and from this marriage came three children. The family moved to Gulfport, Miss., and after surviving Hurricane Camille, they moved to Kingfisher and she worked for the Okarche Clinic for 29 years as a nurse.
She then worked as a correctional officer at Diamondback Correctional Facility in Watonga for two years until her retirement.

Dorathea was a Girl Scout in her younger years and was a troop leader in adulthood. She enjoyed raising and riding horses, camping, painting, traveling, dancing, baking, sewing and canning.
She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Kingfisher.
Dorathea is survived by her sister Bertha Ann Johnson and husband Jeff of Tulsa; her three children, Laura Stallard of Yukon, Jon Stallard of Albuquerque, N.M., and Warren Stallard and wife Sheila of Enid; her husband Loren of the home; 11 grandchildren, Rebecca and Christopher Lorenz, Brianna, Charly, Amanda, Jennifer, Paige, Dustee, Crystal, Michael and Kimberly Stallard; as well as 19 great-grandchildren.
Dorathea was preceded in death by her parents and her children’s father, Fred Stallard.
