Donald ‘Don’ Bodkin

Donald Eugene “Don” Bodkin of Edmond passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024.

He was born March 10, 1937, in Elk City to HT and Zoie Bodkin.

Don graduated from Leedey High School in 1955 and enlisted in the U.S. Army in September 1956.

He married Patricia Thornbrough on Dec. 24, 1958, at Moorewood Baptist Church.

Don worked in construction and founded Bodkin Construction.

Hewasprecededindeath by his wife.

Don is survived by son Kendall Bodkin and wife Donna of Idaho, son Lyndall Bodkin and wife Karen of Cashion and four grandsons.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at Matthews Funeral Home with family present.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at Cashion First Baptist Church.

Interment will be 2 p.m at Arapaho Cemetery in Arapaho.
