Denise K. Meyer, 62, said goodbye to her earthly family and joined the heavenly chorus in the presence of her Savior on Feb. 12, 2021, in Salina, Kan.

Denise was born Dec. 13, 1958, in Okarche to Arthur F. and Ruth J. (Brueggen) Annuschat.

She married her high school sweetheart Michael (Mike) A. Meyer on March 31, 1979, in Okarche. The couple was blessed with four sons, each born in Okarche, between 1979-86.

The family moved to Winfield, Kan., in 1991, then Hoxie, Kan., in 1992. Denise and Mike raised their sons and became heavily involved in the community of Hoxie and Immanuel Lutheran Church until they moved to Colby, Kan., in 2010, then to Salina, Kan., in 2013.

Throughout her life, Denise worked as a registered medical assistant, para-educator and as an administrative assistant at several medical practices and businesses.

She had various interests and hobbies to which she devoted her free time, including avidly watching the Jayhawks, Chiefs, Royals and Auburn, as well as baking and cooking, and meticulously maintaining her lawn and garden.

However, her most cherished roles were being a loving, servant-hearted and devoted wife, mother, aunt and, most recently, grandmother.

“Niece,” “Mom,” or “NeeNee,” as she was affectionately referred to, loved and cared for her husband, sons, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews and four grandchildren with a selfless, sacrificial and strong-willed love that each will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Denise is survived by Mike, her husband of 42 years; four sons, Scott (Mandy) of Overland Park, Kan., Greg (Emilie) of Tulsa, Clay (Liz) of Overland Park, Kan., and Danny of Tulsa; four grandchildren, Branch, Ruthie, Lily and Owen; three siblings, Sandy (Richard) Raupe of Okarche, Jackie (Chris) Walta of Kingfisher, and Larry Annuschat of Okarche; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Paul, Stan, Vicki, David, Nick and Ron.

A socially distanced public visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 26, at Sanders Funeral Service in Kingfisher, followed by a private family graveside service at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Okarche.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Denise’s life will be live streamed at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at the following link: https://www. facebook.com/ctksalina
