Daylinn Kimbro
A celebration of life service for Daylinn Kimbro was Saturday, July 15, at the Waynoka Public School Multi-Purpose Building, with Rev. Thure Tolson officiating.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka.
Daylinn Rae, daughter of Brett LaWayne and Danielle Lee (Keene) Kimbro, was born Nov. 29, 2011, at Oklahoma City and passed away July 6, 2023, at Wichita, Kan., at the age of 11 years, 7 months and 7 days.
Daylinn was raised in Piedmont until fifth grade before moving with her family to her dad’s hometown of Waynoka in February, where she completed the school year.
She was a farm girl through and through, appreciating all the things the country had to offer.
She enjoyed helping her Mema with her cattle. She spent her days taking care of her many animals, from ducks, to dogs, to kittens, all while having her little brother by her side.
She started playing soccer at the age of 5 with the Heartbreakers.
This began her passion for the game. As she grew, she found a love for playing goalie, but eventually decided that scoring goals was more her thing.
Some of her most precious memories are with her teammates and friends from the Heartbreakers and West Side Alliance Soccer Club.
Daylinn had always been a creative soul with a wild imagination.
From the time she was little, she found joy in art.
This was a favorite pastime of hers.
You could always find her making things for others. We all have many of her precious creations in our homes and in our hearts.
Daylinn was adventurous, fearless and looked forward to trying new things.
She recently learned to play the piano, crochet and play softball.
She loved going to the lake, finding new trails to hike and attempting tricks off the pool high-dive.
Our little girl was remarkable.
Her one-of-a-kind smile would light up any room she walked into.
She was kind and generous, always thinking of others.
She had future dreams of being a veterinarian where her sweet spirit and kind-hearted nature would have made her the best doctor to animals in need.
If we could all be a little more like her, the world would be a better place.
Though her time with her family and friends was short, she touched many lives and was loved deeply by those around her.
She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Kim Kimbro; great-grandma, Alene Bond; great-grandpa, Lloyd Ramsey; and great-aunts, Joanie Jones and Sandra Ennis.
Daylinn is survived by her parents, Brett and Danielle Kimbro of Waynoka; her sister, Adria Kimbro of Oklahoma City; her brother, Mac Kimbro of Waynoka; her grandparents, Dave and Kelly Sprecher of Kingfisher and Deb Kimbro of Waynoka; aunts and uncles, Tisha Stewart and husband Chris of Alva, Dal Kimbro and wife Hannah of Waynoka, Tyler Keene of Oklahoma City, Kodi Keene and wife Crystal of Anderson, Mo., Dillyn Sprecher and wife Lyndsay of Norman, and Kori Oyler of Gravette, Ark.; great-grandparents Orval and Marlita Peters of Kingfisher, Jan Purtle of Canton, Ill., and Donna Eggleston and Martha Kimbro of Waynoka; many beloved cousins, other relatives, and cherished friends.
