Colleen Evans

Colleen V. Evans, 88 was born in Kingfisher on Aug. 30, 1930, to John and Deta Wickham and passed away Wednesday May 29, 2019.

Cremation arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.

Colleen was raised in Kingfisher and graduated from Kingfisher High School. She worked as a nurse’s aide for 25 years and worked as custodian at Okarche High School until she retired at the age of 80.

Colleen was married to Lester A. Evans for 70 years and had four children: John L. Evans of Omaha, Neb.; Steven L. Evans of Kingfisher; Michael W. Evans of Galveston, Texas, and Sherri Huntsberger of Hennessey. She had nine grandchildren and 18 grandchildren.
