Carl Horne
Carl A. Horne, 60, Kingfisher, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 22, 2021.
He was born in Sonora, Texas, on June 12, 1961, to William R. Horne and Cena “Faye” Morris Horne.
Carl was an avid fisherman. He loved to fish anywhere, especially for catfish, whether it was with a rod or hand noodling.
He grew up in Lordsburg, N.M., and graduated from Lordsburg High School in 1978.
He moved to Kingfisher shortly thereafter and worked at IGA grocery store for many years. When an injury ended his work career, he dedicated the rest of his life to fishing, hunting and helping friends and family.
Carl was preceded in death by his father in 1996, his mother in 2011, his baby sister, RoseMary, in 1966, and nephew, B.J. Overturf, in 1993.
He is survived by his brothers, Keith Horne of Kingfisher and John Horne and wife Kathy, of Twin Falls, Idaho; his sisters Carolyn Horne of Kingfisher, Ruth Vick of Los Lunas, N.M., Linda Clanton, of St. Johns, Ariz., and Sharon Horne, of Hennessey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
There will be no private viewing or funeral services.
Carl willbe cremated and buried next to his mother in Kingfisher. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
