County Extension hosting 6-week walking program

The Kingfisher County Extension is planning a walking program beginning next month to help those affected by arthritis.

“Walking with Ease” will begin 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the MACenter at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds.

Those participating will meet twice a week for six weeks.

“Walking with Ease” will teach participants how to walk for a certain amount of time, which will increase as the program continues. It will also implement a regular exercise routine.

Learning opportunities will include:

• Easy stretches

• How to eat for successful weight management

• Increasing joint mobility

• How to maintain a consistent exercise routine

The will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. through March 14.
