Read moreKingfisher County closed the books on another tough week, with heartache, struggle and losses, but also notable blessings in equal measure that can only come from a community as supportive as this one in which we are so fortunate to live and work. Our office will continue to be closed through Friday, Feb. 5, as our staff continues to battle our way through a COVID-19 outbreak that has nailed eight of our nine. We are so grateful that most of us are experiencing only mild to moderate symptoms, which has allowed us to continue to put a paper out as people feel well enough to come in and work. And we are so touched and overwhelmed by the outpouring of support we’ve received from so many of you, including many who are struggling with the loss of loved ones this week. We appreciate this beautiful sunset picture captured by Shari Beecher at her rural Okarche horse ranch. It’s a beautiful reminder that none of this is forever and together we will make it through.
