Newfield Community Park project manager John Gooden, left photo, reports $63,250 in private donations raised in the last month for pavilions, park benches and the Arbor Day Playground, right photo, just over halfway to the $115,000 goal. Gooden displays the model he sculpted for the climbing rock wall, which will measure approximately 19 feet long and eight feet tall. The playground also will include a pendulum swing and a horizontal climbing tree modeled after the playground tree at the old Washington Elementary School. Kingfisher Cloverbuds and 4-H recently hosted a “Share the Fun” event at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds. There were 16 acts that showcased a variety of talents, such as a ventriloquist, roping, singing, dancing, poem recitations, gymnastics, pet tricks, fun science experiments and more.
